When determining whether beef jerky is halal or not, the main component to look at is whether the beef used to make the beef jerky was slaughtered in accordance to Islamic law.

  2. Seasoning is placed on the sliced beef strips and stirred
  3. The seasons strips of beef are placed on rods
  4. The rods containing the halal beef strips are put into a special machine that dehydrates and dries the meat
  5. The dried halal meat is packaged.

As you can see, there’s no gelatin or alcohol or any other ingredient that makes halal beef jerky questionable.
